A festival by
worried citizens

We are a music event with a mission. On the 20th of September 2025 we gather around one shared goal: sparking empathy and solidarity. Bring your kids, friends, neighbours, grandparents or come by yourself, there’s plenty of others to connect with. Together we show up for a more just and sustainable world, right in front of the legendary Atomium in Brussels.
It’s free. It’s positive. It’s powerful. See you there!

SUPPORT SHOW UP FOR HUMANITY

While Show Up for Humanity is free, organizing a safe large-scale event as a citizens collective takes a lot of effort. You can join and support us by donating or volunteering. Every contribution, big or small, helps us make Show Up for Humanity a reality.

We show up because we care, for each other, and the planet we share.

We show up for a future where everyone gets a fair chance. A future that is more kind, more compassionate. Where every being matters.

In a world that keeps dividing, we’re inviting everyone in. We speak up. We spark hope. But most of all, we ignite action.

Because silence has never changed a thing.

Let’s not lose our humanity.
Let’s show up and move.

Together.

Why we show up

Elisabeth Van Lierop
Worried Citizen, mother of 3, author, gentle activist
Looking at the news I find myself worrying—but just sitting and watching won’t help. The world doesn’t need more people feeling helpless. That’s why I want to turn my worry into action and do something, even small, to make a difference.
Tijs Delbeke
Worried Citizen, father of 3, musician
I love how the universal language of music is a powerful tool to bring individuals together. Artists have always had a unique platform to address the world. So as musicians, let’s show up for humanity and tell the world we have not lost hope yet. When beauty meets inspiration, I believe that change will emerge.
Eline Goethals
Worried Citizen, public health activist, dog mom
For the longest time, I didn't realize that it is small groups of committed citizens who change the world. But now I know and this event wants to spark exactly that: what if we, regular people, do more, anything but remain silent? I can't wait to discover which new initiatives will be born on our festival grounds!
We make.
Branding agency for digital and print
We felt it right away: this wasn’t just another project. With We Make, we wanted to create a visual identity that brings people together — something fresh and hopeful, for a theme that’s urgent and serious. Concerts for Humanity touches on what truly matters: sparking movement, empathy, and connection.
Mathilde Leestmans
Serving artists and events – with extra glitter and maximum flair
Fueled by passion and the belief that it’s better to build than to break, I trust in the unifying power of sound — a language that speaks to all.

Creative & production agency
Show Up for Humanity hits where it matters. Raw, human, honest. We’re in, because we believe creativity should connect, wake us up, and move us forward.
Tallita Ortiz de la Torre
Mother, Andalusian-Bruxelloise, founder of Todos
Dreaming of a world where people living with disabilities, struggling with mental health or money, speaking different languages or living in different bodies — can proudly say: “I belong.” With Todos, I stand for concrete to-do’s — actions that move us toward an inclusive world. This festival is one of those to-do’s.

What is Show Up for Humanity?

Show Up for Humanity is a positive, celebratory event focused on music and bringing people together around one shared goal: more humanity in our society.

Our mission is to inspire meaningful action by amplifying voices that advocate for a more just and sustainable world. We want to show up for a world where everyone gets a fair chance, where every person matters. It’s a simple idea. Because it should be.

What is the goal?

The state of our world in 2025 is deeply worrying. Human rights are under attack. Climate change accelerates. Authoritarianism grows.  And change is happening too slowly — or not at all. Many people are starting to feel powerless. Some even fatalistic. Worried Citizens is a citizens collective with a clear goal: turn worry into action. We see so many people who want to do good but don’t know how.

This is not the time to sit still and remain silent. This is the time to unite and stir up action. We believe that when people gather, not just to protest but to dance, listen, and feel together, we can spark empathy, solidarity and humanity. And from there, change becomes possible. We also believe that the intertwining of music and global thought leaders will make this event more than just a festival.

All public, media and political attention Show Up For Humanity will receive, will be guided towards the causes that need way more attention than they currently get.

Why September 2025?

At this moment in time we see a clear momentum: the crucial climate conference COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Ten years after the Paris Agreement, meaningful action is still missing.

With only five years left to halve emissions, and the 1.5°C limit already breached, urgent action is needed — action rooted in empathy for people, animals and nature. Climate justice begins with recognising inequality, and responding with compassion.

How can we support Show Up for Humanity?

First and foremost, by showing up. Be there, bring your neighbours, parents and friends. Sharing is caring: spread the word. But there’s much more you can help us with. Organizing an event like ours in a top-notch and safe way needs a lot of hands and resources. Discover all ways you can support right here.
